Sonia Summaira is the founder of Sonia’s Henna Art. She is originally from Punjab currently lives in Toronto, Canada. She is fluent in French, English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi. Sonia did her specialization in History & French at York University – Collège Universitaire Glendon, after graduating she currently, specializing in History. Her future goal is to do PhD in Social History.
Sonia has always had a strong interest in drawing and art. She has been practicing the ancient art of henna since she was just 14 years old. After much thought and support from family and friends she decided to share her talent in a form of profession.
Ever since Sonia has been providing henna services throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa and Montreal. Since 2012, she has traveled many time for destination weddings throughout South and North America (USA, 'Dominican Republic'/Punta Cana, Mexico/ Cancun, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta).
?Sonia has Taught the Art and History of Henna at George Brown College from 2014 until 2017
She specializes in both Intricate Indian traditional designs, and indo-Arabic style Modern henna along with the modern touch of Glitters.

2017 - Sonia's Henna Art became one of the author of 'Mehndi for the Inspired Artist: 50 Contemporary Patterns & Projects Inspired by Traditional Henna Art'
